Client access and case requests

To request a new case, ask your agency for its agency entry link. Apply with your contact details, then sign in with an email code after the agency approves you. This works for new and returning contacts; access to a shared case does not by itself approve new case requests.

Short walkthroughs of each stage of the workflow. More are added as they’re recorded.

Onboarding & user management

Request access, complete company registration, activate your admin account from the invite email, verify your email, set your password and optional 2FA, manage your admin profile, then add team members and create investigator and online-investigator accounts.

Getting access

Set up a PI agency

  1. 01
    Access

    Request access

Agencies request a trial from the Request access form. InvestigOR is invite-only — there is no self-signup, so a platform admin reviews the request and provisions the agency.

  2. 02
    Verify

    Verify your email

Your new account gets a verification email. Confirm the address, then sign in with the temporary password from your invite.

  3. 03
    Sign in

    Set your own password

First sign-in uses the emailed temporary password; you immediately set your own. After that you sign in normally with your email and password.

  4. 04
    Admins

Invite your team, start the trial

A Director or a Case Manager names the team, invites Investigators and Online Investigators, and the trial agency is live.

  5. 05
    Members

    Set up your profile

Invited members set their password and profile, then they can work the cases assigned to them.

The case workflow

A case, end to end

  1. 01
    Open & schedule

Open the case and assign the days

The Director or Case Manager opens a case with its core facts — subject, client, claim, known addresses — then assigns investigators and sets the days to work.

  2. 02
    Online

    Run the online investigation

The online investigator works identifiers, public sources, and social media into findings, gaps, and questions that sharpen the surveillance before field hours are spent.

  3. 03
    Preliminary

    Prepare for surveillance

The Investigator's pre-surveillance prep: confirm scheduling, gather the case facts and online findings, and draft the internal Surveillance Plan.

  4. 04
    Field

    Work the surveillance day

In the field, enter field logs, observations, media, and mileage as the day unfolds — then close the day out for review.

  5. 05
    Subject

    Build the subject profile

The unified Subject profile — everything known about the subject across every source, with identity, vehicle, residence, and social photos.

  6. 06
    Intelligence & report

    Intelligence, then the final report

Operational Intelligence is a read-only cross-source view — what's confirmed, where sources conflict, and the actionable next move. Beginning-of-day, mid-day and day-end updates, the full-day report and the final report assemble from the record into a standard structure, investigator-controlled before release.

  7. 07
    Reporting

    Where the finished reports live

Every report the case has produced — each day's updates and full-day report, and the final report — sits on Surveillance reports, one click each. Opening one opens its own canvas, where it is edited, submitted, and released.

Roles and access

Who can do what

Access protects authoring — who may edit or approve something. It never hides findings: a private investigator always sees the online investigator’s findings, and vice-versa. The investigator submits a report for review; only the case manager releases it to the client.

What each role authors, reads and cannot do
